Created attachment 175769 [details] reduced testcase Safari 5, Opera 12 & Firefox 16 all show a red square, bisected horizontally with top half overpainted green. Safari 6 and iOS 6 show canvas not scaled and offset. there is a related problem when this svg file is linked from within html5 document.
