Created attachment 474965 [details] comparison demonstration video - initial loading This is the follow-up to bug #251336, but tested on GNOME 48 with Epiphany 48.0 (WebKitGTK 2.48.1), MiniBrowser, and Epiphany Canary. Essentially, /usr/libexec/webkitgtk-6.0/MiniBrowser --private https://www.theglobeandmail.com or epiphany --incognito-mode https://www.theglobeandmail.com …is still slower than Firefox 137 (even with uBlock origin disabled in private navigation mode etc.), and that's on a 180 mbps fiber optics connection that has both IPv4 and IPv6. Attaching a demonstration video; in there, you might notice that the "last third" of Epiphany's progressbar seems to hang the longest... and even reloading the page takes a long time, unlike Firefox which is instantaneous.

I had to use this command to generate that sysprof capture: `sysprof-cli --gtk -f --no-debuginfod -- epiphany --incognito-mode https://www.theglobeandmail.com` …because at that time MiniBrowser absolutely refused to launch under sysprof.
